Payback Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy was built to be a place where dedicated practitioners can train in a focused, no-ego environment. From day one, the mission has been simple: develop well-rounded grapplers who carry the principles of the art into every aspect of their lives.
We believe in technical precision over brute force, in consistency over intensity, and in community over competition. Every class is designed to push you forward while keeping you healthy enough to train tomorrow.
OWNER & HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Antonio Velazquez
Antonio Velazquez is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Bryant Pangelinan, with over 14 years of experience in the art and 10 of those years include teaching everyone as young as 3 to as old as 65+. He has trained extensively at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu San Jose under Matt Darcy and Dave Camarillo for 9 1/2 years until he moved to the east bay and joined Sabre Jiu-Jitsu under Bryant Pangelinan.
Antonio is dedicated to sharing his knowledge, emphasizing technique, strategy, and discipline. He also has extensive competition experience from white to black belt paired with a couple years of competing in judo. His teaching style blends competition-tested techniques with a passion for helping students of all levels grow in their Jiu-Jitsu journey.
